About Me

I'm a third-year BSc Computer Science student at Lancaster University, maintaining a 1st class average (71.2%). I'm actively seeking software engineering graduate roles for Autumn 2027, specifically looking to stay in the North West. I enjoy tackling real-world problems, like my data-heavy dissertation project focussed on Earth Observation and Continual Learning. When away from tech I like exploring the Lake District & the surrounding country on hikes - I love the stunning beauty of landscapes.

Continual Learning for Earth Observation

Third-Year Dissertation (2026 - 2027)

  • Researching prototype-based learning models in Python to test flood detection capabilities across streaming satellite imagery.
  • Developing data preprocessing pipelines to sequence remote sensing datasets and benchmark model accuracy against knowledge retention baselines.

Multi-Modal Transport Planner (SCC.200 Group Project)

Technical Lead | First Class Mark (19.8/24)

  • Acted as the primary technical lead, overseeing the development of a full-stack multi-modal transport planner with interactive route mapping, live transport service tracking, and containerised backend services (achieving a First Class grade of 19.8/24).
  • Implemented a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions and Docker, enabling automated testing and deployment.
  • Leveraged Git workflows, Agile methodologies, and issue tracking to coordinate the timeline of contributions and version control whilst a lecturer acted as our primary stakeholder providing feedback.
  • Utilised GitHub Copilot as a module-recommended tool to rapidly prototype logic from design specifications, accelerate boilerplate generation, and focus on the core system architecture.

Self-Hosted Linux & Cloud Infrastructure

Dedicated Linux server hosting containerised services

  • Administer a dedicated Linux server remotely via SSH and RustDesk through Tailscale, orchestrating multi-container environments with Docker Compose.
  • Engineer secure external ingress to services using Cloudflare Zero Trust Tunnels to my domain, integrating Uptime Kuma and Dozzle for container health, logs, and uptime telemetry.

  • Managed logistics, glamping accommodation, on-the-ground and reception customer support at high-volume UK festivals (Reading, Rewind South, and Sandringham), including setup and teardown of physical site infrastructure.
  • Troubleshot real-time physical infrastructure and customer issues in highly demanding, fast-paced environments, and frequently worked shifts of up to 12 hours.
